Mobile Menu Generator

“Nothing makes me want to eat at a restaurant less than when I click on their menu and a PDF downloads to my phone.”

Overview
A personal project created to help restaurants by turning their physical menus into mobile friendly pages during the time after the 2020 pandemic shut down where contactless ordering was necessary.

It’s intended to replace PDF menus that were often used and usually not sized properly for a phone screen, requiring the customer to pinch to zoom until their fingers went off the phone’s surface area and swipe miles across the document to get to the beverages.
How it works
The user uploads a spreadsheet of their menu. The CSV is processed and the data is loaded into a responsive menu template.

Constraints and improvements
In this version, the user is expected to have some knowledge of what to do with the HTML. To improve this user experience and expand the target audience to users without technical knowledge would require a budget that allows the menu pages to be hosted on my end and a QR code would be provided for the restaurant to use.
